                 A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE AWARD OF CONTRACT
                 NO. SL-1-96, 36TH STREET CLASS IV LANDFILL
                 CLOSURE CONSTRUCTION, TO STEIN CONSTRUCTION
                 COMPANY, INC., FOR THEIR LOW BID OF FOUR
                 HUNDRED THIRTY-THREE THOUSAND, FIVE HUNDRED
                 DOLLARS ($433,500.00).
                
                
                                                    
                
                
       	    	 BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
       CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby authorized 
the
       award of Contract No. SL-1-96, 36th Street Class IV Landfill
       Closure Construction, to Stein Construction Company, Inc., for
       their low bid of $433,500.00.
